I recently had a wonderful stay at a guest house in the Pobes area called Casa Rural Lagun Etxea. the owner was incredibly accommodating, waiting up for us even though our ferry had been delayed by 4 hours. the pet-friendly property had secure parking facilities and a super king-size bed that made for a comfortable night's sleep. the continental breakfast provided in the morning was just what we needed to start our day. I have visited this exceptional property four times over the years and always had a great experience. Cons: Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like. 😊.

It was also nice to have a simple yet satisfying breakfast included, which saved us some time and money in the mornings. the location was perfect, just a short drive away from the main road and within easy reach of several places to eat.

Although it didn't bother us too much, it's worth mentioning that there is a nearby train track and some traffic noise. there were a few minor issues in our room, such as peeling paint on the wall and a distinct odor that seemed to come from the mold in the shower.
